What is a visitor pass?
A visitor gate pass allows a guest, client or contractor to enter an office, building or factory after the host's approval. Many sites still hand over a paper slip at the gate. A digital gate pass is the same permission as a QR code on the guest's phone, with no slip to write or lose.
How the QR pass works
- The host adds the guest's name, mobile number and visit time.
- The guest receives the QR pass on WhatsApp or email, with the map and parking instructions.
- At the entrance the guest shows the QR. Walk-ins scan the reception QR instead.
- The host gets a notification and approves with one tap. The entry is logged with the time.
Why digital beats a paper pass
- Nothing to print, write or hand back.
- The guest knows exactly where to go before they arrive.
- The host approves before the guest is let in, instead of reception phoning around.
- Every pass is saved in a searchable visitor history.
